NDG’s Newest BBQ Smokehouse – Prime BBQ Co.

by Jason June 8, 2017

There are a few things in life that I take extremely seriously; family, friends, dental hygiene and barbecue. Friends and family is a given but can you believe that 75%* of the Canadian population suffers some sort of periodontal gum disease? More importantly more than 80%* of all all barbecue aficionados will at one point in their lives eat bad barbecue.

I love barbecue, I’m confident to say that I’ve probably eaten my weight in delicious ‘cue. Being said, I am equally confident to say that I’ve eaten the weight of a small child in bad ‘cue as well. I’ve traveled to explicitly eat barbecue and have dined at some of the best spots around. So you can imagine my excitement when I heard that there was a new barbecue joint opening in town – Prime BBQ Co.

If you can imagine it’s the crispiest, mind-shattering, twice-friend, battered fried chicken that would make a handful of autumn leaves look and sound like a matzo ball. If you’re looking for Korean fried chicken in Montreal, there are a few places to find it. Some of your favourite Korean restaurants serve their own signature versions, and then there are the places that specialize in it like it’s their job… err, wait a minute.

About Me

About Me

People get hungry and need to find good places to eat... I am people, and here are the places I've found. This is a log of my endeavors set forth to discover the hidden gems of the city I call home, Montreal. I vow to not leave one hot pot lid unturned, snail shell hollowed, or souvlaki foil emptied until I can safely say that I ate my way across Montreal. It's a big claim, but it's one I'm making.
