When was the last time you made a meal out of a snack? Besides watching the Habs in the Eastern Coonference finals against the Rangers and eating way too many chips that I really should, I’ve been lobbying and petitioning to have things like a plate of chicken taco nachos, pigs in blankets, a box of crust-less party sandwiches from Snowdon Deli to be recognized as actual legitimate meals.

Tis the season where everyone gives the winter coats and snow boots a big middle finger and tell snowboarders and skiers to suck it. Spring has sprung and a soon prevailing winds will blanket the city in the aroma of manure from farmers planting their crops from south of the city. I know it’s gross but you know it’s spring when the first thing you that hits your face in the morning before your coffee buzz is stench of cow poop from 30 kilometres away. And what proceeds spring? Yes, your second grade teacher would be proud, summer.
I hit up this spot on the edge of Little Italy that is practically the antithesis of anything related to Italian cuisine… if you don’t count meat-sweats and taking a nap after a big meal. We’re talking about BBQ, and not backyard pits that you nonno tirelessly tends to in between hosing down the driveway and fertilizing tomato plants – but the likes of which will make you question everything you’ve ever known about what you think you know.
